Join Beth Kobe in an exploration of Ashtanga Yoga in this two-day workshop. This beautiful yoga practice is often referred to as “a moving meditation”. It follows a series of poses that begin with sun salutations and weave through standing, seated, reclining, backbends, and inversions.
Each pose builds upon the one before and guides the practitioner to focus on breath led movement and alignment awareness within one’s own body.
Modifications and props will be utilized to individualize the practice while the introduction of gazing points and engagement of the core combine to draw the senses inward. Regular practice can build strength and flexibility, cultivate a calmness of mind, and can become a wonderful home practice.
This weekend workshop is Saturday, October 21st and Sunday, October 22nd from noon until 3:00 pm each day.
Cost is $70 for the weekend, with early bird pricing of $60 if you sign up by October 13th.
