Wear comfortable clothing
Remove your shoes in the entryway and place them neatly on the floor in that area or in the shoe racks. Shoes are not to be worn past this area.
Please be respectful to all studio staff, including those working the front desk. We understand that we all have bad days, but please do your best not to be rude or combative. We’re all just people doing our best. We may make mistakes; we may get information wrong or forget to sign you up for something you’ve asked us to; please be patient and polite with us and we will do the same with you.
Refrain from chewing gum during classes
Bring a water bottle with you. If you forget, water is available at the studio. (Water from our dispenser is free, bottles of water are available for $1)
Refrain from wearing excess perfume or cologne, to ensure other’s allergies aren’t bothered
If you choose to use your phone during class to take your own picture, that’s fine. Please do not take pictures of anyone else in the class without their express permission.
Limit use of your phone during class to a minimum. If you have to take a call, please leave the room quietly to do so.
Put all of your devices on vibrate or silent once you enter the studio.
Do not bring open containers of food into the practice rooms. Food can be consumed in the lobby area, but must be properly disposed of before you leave.
We encourage you to bring your own yoga mat, but we do have mats to borrow should you forget yours.
After class has ended, please return any props (blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, etc) to the prop area in the condition you found them in.
If you borrow a mat, please return it to the basket near the front desk to be cleaned.
Please keep conversation low when another class is going on. We encourage everyone to stay, talk, and mingle before and after class. We just ask that you don’t disrupt any other classes that may be in session.
Everyone is required to have an account with Zen Yoga Studio prior to taking class. This includes your first free class.
If you arrive late and the front doors are not locked, please consult the person at the front desk prior to going into the room. When you enter the room do so quietly.
If you have any problems with the studio, a class, an instructor, or anything else just let us know. We’re here to help you, and we want everyone to have a great experience at our studio. Anyone with a serious medical condition or injury should consult a Dr prior to participating in any yoga or fitness classes. Yoga and other fitness classes can offer a number of benefits for the body and mind, but you should always listen to your body. The practice should never hurt. If you are experiencing pain during a class, stop what you’re doing and ask the instructor for a modification. It is your responsibility to inform the instructor if you are pregnant or have any injuries prior to the start of class.
Our classes are designed for students 16 years of age and older. The yoga practice of a child is different from the practice of an adult. We currently do not have any child-specific yoga classes on our schedule, but would consider doing so if there was interest. We do offer child care during morning classes during the week. Please refer to our Child Care page for more information.
If you would like to bring your child to a regular yoga class with you, he/she must be at least 12 years old and you must follow the following criteria:
You must sign a separate consent form for each child.
Please place your mat next to your child’s in the back of the room by the door so you may leave quietly if needed.
It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to watch over their child to ensure that they do not injure themselves or disrupt the class. If the instructor feels as if he/she can align them and they don’t mind, then the instructor will do so, but the poses in a regular yoga class are focused on students age 16 and older.
If your child becomes a distraction to the class or teacher, the instructor reserves the right to ask you to quietly leave, expecting your full understanding and willingness to comply. If that ends up being the case, we will refund your money.
Any exceptions to these policies must be addressed to the teacher or management prior to class.
Your privacy is important to us, and we have policies and safeguards in place to ensure your information remains private. Your personal information will never be shared with a third party and will never be made publicly visible. Any payment or financial information given to us will never be shared and will remain in our secure system, only to be used for Zen Yoga Studio services with prior approval from you.
Zen Yoga Studio will occasionally record or photograph classes for use in marketing materials and social media posts. If you are in a class where recording or photographs will be taken, you will be notified ahead of time.
If you feel a service or product you received was not correct, please contact us directly to address the issue. In the event of a class cancellation, any passes used to book that class will be returned within 48 hours of the cancellation. If a workshop or other event is cancelled, we will issue refunds to all attendees, unless otherwise specified. If you have any other questions about refunds, please contact us directly.
