After many years of Beth’s best friend encouraging her to try yoga, it only took one class to get her hooked. With a background in dance, yoga was a natural step and she was pleasantly surprised with the benefits to both body and mind. Beth received her 200 hour vinyasa certification in 2011 with Pulse, is registered with the Yoga Alliance, and is currently working on her second 200 hour certification through Yoga on High. Beth enjoys an intense practice which focuses on strength, flexibility and proper alignment. She strives to teach a creative class that is both challenging and fun. She emphasizes joining the breath to the movement and keeping the mind focused and calm.
Beth believes yoga is a very personal practice and she fills her vinyasa classes with choices so her students can create the class they need that day. Beth enjoys practicing and teaching in a community. She believes the group supports each member in a safe and nonjudgmental setting adding energy and spiritual benefits to one’s individual practice. Quite simply yoga brings her great joy and she hopes to pass that feeling on to her students. Beth is grateful to her family and friends for their love and support and is honored to be on the staff at Zen Yoga Studio.
